Bermuda is not the Caribbean, it is a mid-Atlantic world of its own, a couple of hours' flight off the US coast. King's Wharf opens onto the restored Royal Naval Dockyard; from there it is the pink-sand beaches of Horseshoe Bay, the glowing Crystal Caves, and the pastel UNESCO town of St George's. Genteel, British, and very clear-watered.
