What it is
The Beach Club at Bimini is Virgin Voyages' own private day-club on the Bahamian island of Bimini, and it is exclusive to Virgin sailors. It is not a roped-off stretch of someone else's beach; it's a designed beachfront with multiple pools, a DJ, daybeds, casitas, food and drink, and water the colour of a swimming pool.
How to do it well
- Walk off early. The first tender ashore gets the calmest beach and the best daybed real estate.
- Decide on a casita in advance. If you want shade and privacy, the cabanas go fast, we book them at the time of fare.
- Stay for sail-away. The late-afternoon DJ set, with the ship lit up offshore, is the photograph everyone takes home.
It's the rare "private island" day that earns the phrase, because it was actually built, not just rented.
