Ketchikan

Totems and the Misty Fjords.

Rainforest, the world's largest collection of totem poles, and a floatplane wilderness.

Ketchikan is the first Alaskan port north and the gateway to Misty Fjords, a wilderness of sheer granite walls and waterfalls best seen from a floatplane. The town holds the world's largest collection of standing totem poles; Creek Street's boardwalk perches on stilts over a salmon stream. It is also the rainiest town in Alaska, and proud of it.
