Dutch-Caribbean colour and a famously calm sea.
Willemstad's Handelskade waterfront looks like Amsterdam dipped in sherbet, a UNESCO row of candy-coloured Dutch gables fronting the harbour and its swinging pontoon bridge. Outside town, Curaçao keeps some of the Caribbean's flattest, clearest water, with shore-entry reefs and the cobalt glow of the Blue Room sea cave.
