Willemstad's Handelskade is one of the Caribbean's most photographed streetscapes, a UNESCO row of candy-coloured Dutch gables fronting the harbour, split by a swinging pontoon bridge that opens for passing ships. Outside town the water is reliably flat and clear, with shore-entry snorkelling and the cobalt glow of the Blue Room sea cave.
